| New Three Full Day Kindergarten Model To Be Introduced in September 2010 |
| Dear Prospective Kindergarten Parents/Guardians, The Middleton School Committee is excited to be able to offer you and your child an opportunity to enroll in our new three (3) full day kindergarten progran, which will replace the long-standing 2 1/2 day kindergarten program in September 2010. We will be able to offer three full day sessions that will be scheduled according to the day sequences listed below. Please note that the exact schedule of days is still subject to revision based on enrollment and staffing needs. A. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday B. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday C. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday D. Monday, Wednesday, Friday E. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday We are also researching the possibility of offering an additional Kindergmien Activity Day Program (4th or 5th day) experience on a fee basis. At kindergarten registration there will be an opportunity for you to indicate in rank order your preference for the A, B, C, D, or E schedules as well as indicate your potential interest in a Kindergarten Activity Day Progran1 should we be able to offer it for next year. When the construction of the new Howe-Manning School is completed in 2011, the School Committee plans to offer a five (5) full day kindergarten program option as an additional m0del. We look forward to your child enrolling in the Fuller Meadow kindergmien for next year into what promises to offer expanded learning opportunities for our children. |
