| New Howe Manning Open House Details for August 24th |
| We are asking attendees to park at one of three satellite
locations: Fuller Meadow Elementary School, St. Agnes Church, or behind Town Hall. We will be running continuous shuttle buses from these locations (2 from FM and one from the other locations) to take you to Howe-Manning. This will give you a chance to see the way the students will be entering the building in the fall when the buses will be dropping off in the back of the school. There is extremely limited parking at the end of Central Street and we ask that you avoid this area so there is not a traffic problem and so that all event attendees are safe. If you are walking you will need to walk down the access road to the right side of the school. No other vehicle traffic will be allowed with the exception of Handicapped Parking. Please make sure to be kind to our local businesses and residential neighbors and refrain from parking in commercial lots or blocking private driveways. Once you are on site there will be a sign- in desk near the back door labeled "Fast Pass Sign In" for you to pick up your tour ticket. You can enter the tour any time during the scheduled half hour period. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING RESPONSES FROM OVER 1200 PEOPLE THERE MAY BE A SHORT WAIT TO GET INTO THE SCHOOL EVEN IN THE "FAST PASS" LINE. We will do everything we can to make the wait as short as possible, but want to also insure that everyone gets a good view of the interior of the building and that we keep it in great condition for the opening of school which is only 2 weeks away. At the end of the tour, please make sure to stop in the cafeteria to review information on school transportation, including procedures for students who are currently dropped off or are walkers/bike riders to Howe-Manning. Refreshments will be provided and great music too! And be sure to drop by the Raffle table where kids can take a guess on what it took to build our beautiful building. A big thank you to all the local businesses that provided prizes for this raffle: Coco Key, Dairy Queen, E.A. Stevens Insurance, Legends Baseball, Mason & Madison, Rotary Club of Boxford/Topsfield/Middleton, Paradise Golf, Richardson's Ice Cream, Sew on and Sew Forth, Sol Bean and Strike One. We look forward to seeing you there! |
