Grade 6 Mathematics Long Term Substitute ASAP to June Spofford Pond School
March 8th, 2010Qualifications: Massachusetts License in Elementary or Middle School General or Math grades 5-8 preferred - Strong collaboration skills to work with team members - Outstanding organization and multi-tasking skills - Excellent communication and presentation skills - both oral/ written
Specific Job Tasks: 1. To teach students, in small groups, individual, and large group situations, in a variety of subjects, with a concentration on Math 2. To work collaboratively with members of the sixth grade team to plan and implement lessons based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks 3. To assess students in all areas of the curriculum, using both formative and summative assessments 4. Communicate effectively with families regarding the sixth grade curriculum, student progress and classroom activities through daily website updates and other frequent modes of communication 5. Familiarity with technology, such as Smartboards, as it applies to classroom instruction would be beneficial.
